Buying the premium season track late leaves out the rewards for levels already reached
A season path gives a reward at every level, and players may be offline when they pass some, or upgrade halfway through. Claiming must hand out everything owed, once, in order, without double giving. Here is how to work out what is waiting, and why a claim button should be safe to press twice.
Why this works
Record what has been done, and work out what is owed from the facts each time. Then a late purchase, a double press or two devices all lead to the same answer, and each reward is given exactly once without any special case.
When not to use it
Skip it when late buyers should not catch up, for instance if the extra rewards are meant only for those who were there from the start. Then grant only what comes from now on, and say so clearly before the purchase.
