Spielerando

How often does a group finish a match and straight away play another one together?

The best sign that a co-op match was fun is that the same group starts another one. This entry shows how to recognise a group in the logs even when the players join in a different order, and how to avoid counting the same follow-up twice.

Why this works

A real group is the same set of people, whatever order they joined in. Letting each later match answer only one earlier match stops a long chain of games from being counted as many separate decisions to play again.

When not to use it

It misses groups that stay in touch but rotate members, as with a club or a family where someone is always missing. For those, track pairs of friends or a shared room rather than an exact match of the whole group.
