Bring a harvested plant back without it popping up in front of the player
The player picks a herb on a ledge and stays nearby. Thirty seconds later it grows back right in front of them, which looks like a glitch and lets them farm it without moving. This entry waits for the right moment: after the timer, and only when nobody can see the spot.
Why this works
The eye catches change more than state. Something that appears in plain view looks like a fault and invites standing still to farm it. Letting it return while no one is looking keeps the world believable and rewards moving on.
When not to use it
Do not wait for the player to look away when regrowth is part of the lesson, such as a farming game where watching the plant grow is the fun. There, show the growth openly and make the timer visible instead.
