Flip a loot card over with a bounce and never show its back mirrored
Turning a card by squeezing it flat and growing it again looks easy, until the picture on the far side appears backwards, or a lively bounce spins the card past the point where the wrong side shows. Here is how to pick the side and how bouncy the flip may be.
Why this works
A real card turning over passes through edge-on, where it has no width, and only then shows its other side. If the width is allowed to go below nothing, the picture is drawn backwards; staying positive keeps the back readable.
When not to use it
Skip the bounce when the card is revealed in a long row or must be read fast, like a hand of cards in a quick game. The wobble delays reading, so turn the card with one clean, short motion.
