Spielerando

Which place to farm pays far more than the rest?

Players soon find the one spot that gives the most for their time, and then do nothing else. Calculating the expected reward per minute for each spot, from kill speed and drop tables, finds it before they do.

Why this works

Players go where the pay per minute is best, so the places that matter are decided by one number: what each visit earns over time. Weighing rare prizes by how often they fall shows the true pay, which a glance at the best prize hides.

When not to use it

Skip it when places are chosen for story, danger or fun and money is not the aim, or when players hunt for rare items rather than coins. Then measure how long they stay or how often they come back.
