Look after a player's character when their connection drops in the middle of a fight
When someone's connection breaks, their character is either removed at once, leaving the rest in a worse fight, or stands there as a free target. This entry shows a short period in which the character is looked after, and what happens on a return in time or too late.
Why this works
A lost cable should cost a player a moment, not the whole session, and not cost the team a member. Keeping the character in place, much harder to hurt and out of the enemy's attention, for a limited time protects the team while unplugging on purpose gains nothing.
When not to use it
Skip it in short rounds or duels, where waiting for someone who may never return stalls everyone. Remove the character at once, or let a computer-run stand-in take over instead.
