Long lines of dialogue run out of the text box

Some lines fit the box, some spill over the edge, and some leave a single lonely line on the next page. Here is how your AI should break text into lines and pages so that nothing is cut off and the last page never holds just one orphan line.

Why this works

A reader judges a page by how it looks, so breaking text is two jobs: keep every line inside the frame, then shape the pages so none ends with a stray single line. Words are the natural place to cut, and only a giant word is cut inside.

When not to use it

Skip it when your engine already wraps text by the real width of the font, or when the box grows with its text, as in a scrolling log. There your own breaking only fights the built-in one. Use that instead.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Long lines of dialogue run out of the text box" (read_entry dialogue-overflows-the-text-box) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
