Players standing on the same spot shake or fly apart when their bodies overlap

When teammates stack up in a doorway or all rush the same pickup, their bodies overlap. Pushing them out at full strength makes everybody vibrate, and two characters exactly on top of each other have no direction to go in. Here is a soft push that settles and a tie rule that all screens share.

Why this works

Fixing everything in one step fights against the pushes from all the others in a crowd, so bodies swing back and forth. Fixing only part of the overlap each tick lets them settle. A tie rule from the ids replaces chance, so all screens pick the same direction.

When not to use it

Wrong when bodies should be solid and block each other, such as in a narrow corridor where a teammate holds the door. Soft pushing then lets them slip through one another. Make those bodies hard, or let players pass through each other fully.
