A player riding on a teammate's back wobbles, turns with them or flies off on release
Hanging on a friend is a funny co-op idea and a pile of small problems. The rider's body must follow the other body's turns, but their own head should still look around, within limits, and jumping off should carry on the motion they had. Here is the placing rule.
Why this works
A rider does not move on their own, so their place should be described relative to the host and follow the host's turns. Only the look stays free, within what a neck can do. Leaving with the host's speed makes the move go on, like a real jump off a moving friend.
When not to use it
Wrong when the rider should be able to act freely, such as fighting from the back while the host steers through obstacles with real collisions for both. Then give the rider a body of their own, joined by a loose link.
