Find a way for a digger in a side-view world that walks, steps up and drops down

In a world seen from the side, a character can hop up one block and drop down a short way, but not climb back. Here is why such routes are one-way, how far a drop may be, and how to search a map like this.

Why this works

In a side-view world a character is always standing somewhere or falling, so only standing places matter. From each one it can walk, step up or drop off an edge. The drop only goes one way, so the route must remember that there is no road back.

When not to use it

Skip it for worlds seen from above, or when the character can jump, climb walls or grab ledges, since the short list of moves would miss routes. Add those moves one by one, each with its own cost, rather than stretching these rules.
