Spielerando

Check where a rotated house may stand and tell the player every reason it may not

A ghost of the house follows the cursor and should turn red with a clear reason, not just refuse. Odd shapes turn around a corner, parts can hang over the edge, and the ground may not be flat. Here is a check that returns all the reasons at once.

Why this works

Turning a shape around its own anchor keeps it under the cursor, and telling the player every broken rule at once saves them from fixing one problem, trying again and meeting the next. A refusal with reasons teaches the rules of building.

When not to use it

Do not use it for a free-form builder where anything goes, or a game that wants players to discover the rules by trying. Hiding reasons can be part of the fun; then show only a red outline and let them work it out.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Check where a rotated house may stand and tell the player every reason it may not" (read_entry survival-building-placement-reasons) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
