Do players push a tax or speed slider all the way to one end?
A slider that most players leave at its minimum or maximum has a range that is wrong, or a setting that is not a real choice. This entry shows how to count how many sit at the edges or at the starting position, with a tolerance that fits any scale.
Why this works
Where people leave a control shows how they see it. A pile at one end says the range is too short for what they want. A pile at the starting point says nobody uses it. Looking at final values, not every nudge, counts each person once.
When not to use it
A pile at an edge is fine if the extreme is a real, popular choice, like the lowest difficulty for relaxed play. And if few people ever see the control, the default share only shows they never noticed it.
