Are some random maps much easier or harder than the rest, or is it just chance?

With generated maps, a few seeds will always look lucky or cursed by chance alone. This entry shows how to tell a seed that truly stands out from the noise, how many games it needs, and why more seeds mean a stricter limit.

Why this works

A few lucky wins can look like a pattern, so a map is judged against the usual result, scaled by how many games it had. A map with three games proves nothing, and checking many maps at once means some will look odd by pure chance.

When not to use it

Don't ban a flagged map automatically. It may be hard or easy by design, or a map type that favors a play style, and with few games per map the numbers say little. Look at the map itself first.
