Which of the ways to win is never used, and which one can hardly be reached?

If a game offers several ways to win, one often turns out to be unreachable in practice. Looking at who won with it is not enough, because nobody wins with a path that nobody gets close to. This entry shows how to count progress as well as wins.

Why this works

A way to win can fail in two different places: nobody gets near it, or people get close and cannot finish. Looking at how far players get, next to who wins, tells these apart, and each has a different fix.

When not to use it

A path that few reach is fine when it is meant to be a hard, optional challenge for experts. And with too few players the shares jump. Then judge it by whether those who try it enjoy it, not by how many arrive.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Which of the ways to win is never used, and which one can hardly be reached?" (read_entry strat-victory-path-reach) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
