On some levels nobody can reach three stars, because the target was a guess

The AI wrote a target number of moves for each level, but never played them. Some targets are better than perfect play can reach, others are so loose that three stars come for free. This entry compares each target with the real best result and names the levels that are off.

Why this works

A target is a promise that skilled play can keep. Only the best possible result, found by a solver, can show whether the promise is empty, so the check compares the two numbers for every level.

When not to use it

Skip it when stars are about something other than move counts, such as time or collecting items; check that measure the same way.

In the full entry

  • What to build, step by step
  • Starting values and the reason for each
  • 3 common mistakes and the fix
  • A diagram of every state
  • 25 lines of example code with 3 checks that pass
  • How your AI shows you that it works

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "On some levels nobody can reach three stars, because the target was a guess" (read_entry star-targets-impossible-on-some-levels) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
