Draw a quest route on the map as if a pen traces it at an even pace

When a route appears on the map in one go it is easy to miss, and when it is drawn corner by corner, short stretches flash by and long ones drag. Here is how to trace it at a steady pace, with a moving dotted look, and long routes taking longer.

Why this works

The eye follows the speed of a moving point. If the pen covers equal distance in equal time, it feels like something being traced by hand, while counting corners makes it speed up and slow down for no reason on the map.

When not to use it

Skip it when the route is shown often, such as every time the map opens, or when players need the answer at a glance. Draw it at once then, since a slow reveal repeated all day turns from help into a wait.
