Replaying the same level for rewards should tire out the rewards, not the player

Without a brake, the best level to replay becomes the only level anyone plays. A tiredness meter that lowers the payout, recovers on its own and never turns the reward to nothing keeps replay fair. Here is how to count it.

Why this works

Repeating one thing should pay less, because the game wants variety, not a grind. Letting the reward shrink gradually, with a floor and a clear recovery, steers players elsewhere without ever making them feel robbed for the choice.

When not to use it

Skip it in a game where replaying is the heart of the fun, such as a score chaser or a speed run. Shrinking rewards there punish the thing players love; reward improvement rather than repetition.
