Leftover event energy vanishes when the event ends, and players feel robbed

A time-limited event with its own energy leaves players holding some at the end. Throwing it away stings; keeping it forever breaks the next event. Here is a conversion to a smaller reward that works even if the player returns weeks later.

Why this works

A deadline is easier to accept when it does not feel like theft. Turning what is left into something small but real at the end shows that effort counted, and checking at the first look after the end means it works however the player returns.

When not to use it

Skip it if the event is meant to be a clear all-or-nothing rush, where running out is part of the thrill. Conversion there softens the stakes; let the leftovers simply expire, and say so at the start.
