Fix an idle game's reset bonus that pays the same points again after each restart

The restart reward grows with how far you got, but if the sum is counted from the wrong place, every restart hands out the old points again, or none at all, or a wrong whole number at the exact limit. This entry shows how to make the AI count the reward so it is paid once.

Why this works

A reward that is paid for the whole journey must remember what it has already paid. Counting the total once and subtracting what was handed out makes a second payout of the same progress impossible, however often the player restarts.

When not to use it

Skip it if a restart is meant to wipe everything, including the bonus, as in a game built on short, independent runs. There each run should stand alone, and a carried-over reward only makes later runs easier and less interesting.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Fix an idle game's reset bonus that pays the same points again after each restart" (read_entry prestige-points-paid-twice) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
