Make the daily puzzle the same for everyone, and not repeat before the pool is used up

Friends compare results, but one sees a different puzzle because of the time zone, a random pick repeats yesterday's puzzle, or days before the start date give a broken number. This entry shows how to make the AI choose one puzzle per day, the same on every phone.

Why this works

For everyone to see the same thing, they must agree on what day it is, and local time does not give that. One shared clock turns the day into one plain number. A fixed shuffle of the pool then makes the choice repeatable, with no repeats until all are used.

When not to use it

One global day is unfair to players for whom the new puzzle appears in the middle of their evening. If that matters, let each person's local midnight start the day, accept that streaks and results then cannot be compared directly, and say so.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Make the daily puzzle the same for everyone, and not repeat before the pool is used up" (read_entry daily-puzzle-differs-by-time-zone) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
