Keep a round of speaking turns fair when someone loses connection

In a scene where each character answers in turn, a dropped player either freezes the round or comes back and speaks twice in a row. Here is a turn rule that skips the absent, keeps everyone's place and says what happens to the one who returns.

Why this works

Fairness means everyone keeps the place they were promised. Leaving the order untouched and only noting who has already had a turn means nobody loses a spot by a bad connection, and nobody gains one by returning at a lucky moment.

When not to use it

Skip it when the conversation is free and anyone may speak at any time, or when a scene cannot go on without one particular character. There, waiting for that person, with a clear sign on screen, beats passing them by.
