Hand the party leader's role on without flipping it on every wobble

The leader makes the story choices, and then their connection blips for a few seconds. If the role jumps to someone else and back each time, nobody knows who decides. Here is a handover rule with a waiting time and a clear answer for who takes over.

Why this works

People accept a decider they can predict. A short grace period absorbs the brief dropouts that every connection has, and a handover by seniority rather than by changing numbers gives a result that is the same whenever anyone asks.

When not to use it

Skip it when the group decides together, by vote, or when the leader is a role earned in play, such as the winner of a duel. Then the role should follow the game, not a clock.
