One player's damaged file stops the whole world from starting

With many people in one world, sooner or later one file is broken, and a loader that gives up at the first error locks everybody out. Here is how to load the rest, fall back to an older copy for the broken one, and keep the evidence.

Why this works

One person's trouble should stay one person's trouble. Handling each player alone keeps a failure from spreading, and older copies turn a total loss into a small step back. Keeping the broken file lets a human or a later fix still rescue it.

When not to use it

Do not use quiet fallbacks where a wrong start is worse than no start, such as a shop with real money or a ranking. There, stop that one account, tell a person, and restore by hand. A silent older copy could hide real loss.
