Stop the objective marker pointing at a task the player already did
The player blew the door open with a grenade, and the game still sends them to find the key for it. Or an objective can no longer be done because its person left. Here is how your AI decides the one current goal, quietly completes what was done out of order and retires what has become pointless.
Why this works
The player cares about the goal, not the path you planned. When the marker follows what has actually happened, a door blown open makes the key pointless, and the game stops asking for it instead of arguing with the player.
When not to use it
Skip it in a game where the order is the point, such as a lesson or a puzzle that must be learned step by step. There, a skipped step should be shown as skipped, or blocked, not quietly counted as done.

Say this to your AI
Use the Spielerando entry "Stop the objective marker pointing at a task the player already did" (read_entry objective-marker-for-task-already-done) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
