Make a frog hop to a lily pad that is still bobbing on the water
In a pond puzzle the frog must land exactly on its target. A jump aimed at where the pad was ends in the water or a visible snap at the end. Different distances also need different heights and times or they all look the same. Here is a hop that adapts and always arrives on the pad.
Why this works
A jump is a path from here to there, shaped like an arch. If you describe the path rather than push the frog with a force, it must arrive exactly where you point, and you can keep pointing at a target that is still moving.
When not to use it
Not when the hop should feel physical: sliding on ice, being knocked off course or landing on a slope. A fixed arch cannot react to anything on the way, so let real speed and gravity decide there.
