Decide whether a level started before the event ended still counts
The timer on a limited event hits zero while the player is in the middle of the last level. Counting nothing feels like theft, counting everything lets people park a level open for hours. Here is a rule with a short grace and a separate window to collect rewards.
Why this works
Fairness looks at the moment the player made the choice, not the moment the result came in. Someone who began in time did the right thing. A short grace lets that stand, and a separate period for collecting stops the end from feeling like theft.
When not to use it
Skip it for events where a late finish gives an edge, such as a ranked race or a contest with a prize for the best result. There a hard cut at the end is the fair rule, and the start does not matter.
