Make dropped items bob and spin out of step, and only once they lie still

A pile of loot where every item rises and falls at the same moment looks like one machine, and things that already bob while still flying through the air look wrong. Here is how each item gets its own rhythm without random numbers and starts the bobbing only when it has landed.

Why this works

Things that move in perfect unison look like a machine. Giving each item its own starting offset, taken from its identity instead of a dice roll, breaks the unison and still looks the same for every player and after every load. Waiting until the item rests keeps thrown items from wobbling in flight.

When not to use it

Skip it when many items must read as one group, such as a row of coins that should wave together, or when a hundred drops lie in view at once and the motion costs more than it gives. Then use one shared, still glint.
