Spielerando

Stop a double click from looting the same corpse twice

Two quick clicks, two players at once, or a full bag at the wrong moment can make an item appear twice or vanish. This entry decides who gets a corpse's item, when it counts as taken, and what happens when there is no room.

Why this works

An item can be in only one place at a time, so checking that it is still there and handing it over must happen as one step. Fixing the contents at death means opening the window again can neither change nor repeat the reward.

When not to use it

Don't lock loot to the first taker in a cooperative game where friends expect to share, or where loot should drop straight into everyone's bag. Give each player their own copy instead, so nobody has to race for it.

In the full entry

  • What to build, step by step
  • Starting values and the reason for each
  • 3 common mistakes and the fix
  • A diagram of every state
  • 27 lines of example code with 3 checks that pass
  • How your AI shows you that it works

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Stop a double click from looting the same corpse twice" (read_entry corpse-loot-cannot-be-taken-twice) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
