Share loot in a co-op game so nobody always walks away empty
When a team finds treasure, pure chance lets one player collect everything while another gets nothing for an hour, and that player quietly stops playing. Letting everyone grab is no better. Here is a fair handout that remembers what each person already received and still respects who actually wants the item.
Why this works
Fairness is felt over a whole evening, not in one chest. Keeping a running total of what each person got lets every new item go to whoever has received least, so luck evens out instead of piling up on one player.
When not to use it
Skip it when players are strangers who would rather roll for each item, or when items are tied to a character's role and only one person can use them. Then give the item to the one who can use it.
