Choose which companion comments without one dominating
With four companions in the party, the one with the most reactions written for them speaks every time and the rest feel like furniture. Here is a rule that still picks the best-fitting speaker but shares the stage over a whole playthrough.
Why this works
Players notice who is never heard. Weighing how well a comment fits against how much a character has recently spoken lets the best match win, yet gives others a turn. Staying silent when nobody fits is better than a weak line from whoever is next.
When not to use it
Skip it when only one or two companions are ever present, or when the story is built around one voice that should lead. Rotation then forces a stage-sharing nobody wanted. Let the natural fit decide.
