The view jumps when the cutscene ends and I get control back

A scripted shot ends and the normal camera takes over, and the picture snaps or the player's next mouse move spins the view. Here is how to glide from the scripted view into play, which target to aim at while doing it, and where the player's own aim should start.

Why this works

Control should return to what is on screen, not to what was there before. Gliding toward where the player's view is now, and starting their aim from the shot just shown, keeps the picture and the hand in step.

When not to use it

Not wanted when the return should be a deliberate shock, such as a hard cut back into danger, or when the cutscene ends exactly where play begins, so there is nothing to blend. A plain cut is cleaner then, and it costs the player nothing.
