A friend brings an overpowered character from their own world into yours
Characters that travel between worlds can carry things your world has never heard of, or numbers far past what it allows. Here is how to let them in without ruining your game and without destroying anything that belongs to the visitor.
Why this works
A visitor should fit the rules of the world they enter, yet never lose what they own at home. Adjusting only the copy that plays here, and keeping the original untouched, lets the visit be fair to the host without costing the guest anything.
When not to use it
Wrong for two worlds that are meant to be identical, such as a shared account across devices, or when both sides want the visitor's strength to count in full. Then agree on one set of rules instead of cutting things down.
