Is buying the upgrade with the best payback first really the fastest way?
Every idle player and every guide repeats the same rule of thumb for what to buy next. This entry shows how to let a tiny test bot try every order on your own upgrade list, so you learn whether the rule holds for your numbers or whether it sends players the slow way.
Why this works
A purchase pays twice: it gives its own gain and it speeds up every later purchase. A rule that looks only at one upgrade at a time ignores the second payoff, so only trying whole orders on your own list shows which order is really fastest.
When not to use it
Do not try every order when the list is long: the number of orders explodes. Also, if players care about reaching a target income by a deadline instead of buying everything, the simple rule can win. Name the question first.
