Pick the right line variant when several conditions could match
A line that reads one way if you met someone and another if you also trust them can match two rules at once, or none, and the game quietly shows the wrong one. Here is a simple way to choose and to prove no case is left uncovered.
Why this works
Which line wins should not depend on how the file happens to be ordered, because the next edit would change the meaning. Letting the most specific match win, and calling an equal tie a mistake, makes the rule stable.
When not to use it
Wrong with many facts at once, because trying every combination gets too big to read. Split the line into smaller parts that each depend on one or two facts, or write the few cases you truly need.
