Skip the night when enough players are in bed, without waiting for idle ones
In a shared world one forgotten player standing at the door must not keep everyone awake all night. But the night must not be skipped by a single sleeper either. Here is the vote rule and the hour it jumps to.
Why this works
A group vote should be about the people who are actually playing. Someone who walked away should neither block the night nor decide it. Comparing shares without division keeps a borderline case, like exactly half, from flipping because of rounding.
When not to use it
Wrong in a hard-core game where the night is the danger and a few sleepers should not take it away from everyone else, or in a story where players must be awake together. Let each person sleep only in their own time.
