Find the characters a stray bullet could kill before the story needs them

In a shooter the player can hit anyone on screen, including the informant who must give the password two levels later. Here is how your AI lists every spot where such a character is in the line of fire and later needed, so you know exactly where protection is required.

Why this works

A script lists the deaths the author wrote, but the player can cause others. The honest question is where someone can be hit and whether the story needs them afterwards. Asking it backwards from the need gives a short list of places that need protection.

When not to use it

Skip it when killing important people is a real choice with consequences, such as a game where the story simply goes on without them. Then plan the story for a missing character instead of shielding everybody.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Find the characters a stray bullet could kill before the story needs them" (read_entry stray-fire-kills-character-story-needs) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
