Resume a game saved in the middle of a cutscene without breaking it
Autosave fires while the hero is halfway through a scripted scene, and loading it drops the player into a half-finished moment: a door already open, an alarm not yet rung, a line of dialogue missing. Here is how your AI picks the right place to resume and which effects to keep.
Why this works
Some moments only make sense whole, like a door opening and the alarm that follows. If a save lands in the middle, the safest thing is to go back to the start of that moment and take only what came before it. Replaying a moment from its beginning cannot leave it half done.
When not to use it
Skip it when a scene is long and each part stands on its own, because sending players back to the start of a long scene feels like a punishment. Split such scenes into short ones with their own save points instead.
