Give the star goal "finish with moves to spare" a threshold that is always fair

A level with few moves can end up with a three-star goal nobody can reach, and a percentage threshold sometimes lands one move off from what the card says. Here is how to turn the share into whole moves and spot levels where the best rating is impossible.

Why this works

A promise printed on a card must come out exactly as printed, so the same whole-number rule decides both what the card shows and what gets awarded. And a goal is only fair if the best player can actually reach it, which you can check from the numbers alone.

When not to use it

Skip it in levels where the ending does not depend on spare moves, such as timed levels, endless play or puzzles with one fixed solution. Rate those by time, score or tidiness, and give very short levels a different star rule.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Give the star goal "finish with moves to spare" a threshold that is always fair" (read_entry stars-from-moves-left-without-float-errors) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
