A player left one city alone but plays another: do not count that as lost

Builders let you keep several cities or save slots. An old save nobody touched for weeks looks like a player who quit, even when the same person is busy in another one. This entry shows how to count lost players and abandoned saves separately.

Why this works

The unit that matters is the person, not the file. Someone who dropped one city but plays another is still here, and counting the old city as a loss exaggerates how many people left. The dropped saves still teach you which cities or modes people leave while staying.

When not to use it

Do not use it when several people share one account or device, or when one save per person is a rule of the game. Then you cannot tell who is who. Count per account only if each account has one clear owner.
