Spielerando

Split a boss's crafting drops between co-op players without losing a piece

Five scales drop and three players fought, so who gets what? Dividing evenly gives 1.67 scales each, and rounding either loses some or invents some. This entry splits by effort, hands out every single piece, and rotates the lucky remainder so the same player does not always win it.

Why this works

People accept an uneven split if it follows effort and nothing is lost along the way. Giving each their whole share first, then the leftover pieces to those who were closest to the next one, honours both. Rotating ties spreads luck over many fights instead of favouring one name.

When not to use it

Do not split by effort when the group plays as friends who share everything, or when the drop is a single story item. Then let one person carry it, or roll for it openly, since measuring contribution can start arguments.
