Let a rope bridge dip under the hero and bounce back when they leave
A bridge that stays rigid feels like a floor; a bridge that bends like a smooth bowl feels like jelly. A taut rope bends in a specific shape under a weight, deepest where you stand. Here is that shape, how deep it goes, and how to give it a lively bounce.
Why this works
A tight rope cannot bend smoothly; under a weight it folds into two straight runs that meet at the load, and the bend is deepest where the weight is. Easing toward that shape, with some bounce, reads as a real rope.
When not to use it
Skip it for a bridge made of stiff planks, a stone arch, or a bridge that must be solid for fighting and jumping. There a visible dip would fight the player's sense of footing, so use a fixed look.
