Spielerando

Pay a quest reward exactly once, even with full bags and reloads

Turn in the quest, the game crashes, load again and turn it in a second time, or the bag was full and the sword vanished. Both are reward bugs. Here is a way to record claims so a reward arrives once and nothing is lost.

Why this works

Paying twice or not at all both come from the same gap: a moment between giving the reward and writing down that it was given. Closing that gap, so both happen together or not at all, and keeping what does not fit, makes every ending safe.

When not to use it

It is not needed for a reward that is harmless to repeat, like a thank-you line or a small amount of money in a game without a shop. In a game shared online, the server must do the claiming instead of the player's device.
