Decide what survives when a storage box is smashed in a raid

When a stash is destroyed, some of its contents should scatter and some should be gone for good. If the game rolls fresh dice each time the area loads, the owner can leave and return until everything survives. The result must be fixed once and must grow fairer with sturdier boxes.

Why this works

A loss should feel like fate, not like a coin the owner can flip again. Fixing each piece's fate from the world and the box means reloading changes nothing, and judging piece by piece keeps the outcome close to the promised share.

When not to use it

Skip it in a game with no raids or no way to lose a base to other players. Where losses would feel cruel or where players cannot defend, let the box survive whole, or let the attacker take a visible share.
