Return a quest crate to solid ground when an explosion throws it into a pit
Physics objects carry quests too. A blast sends the crate off the map, into lava or onto a ledge nobody can reach, and the mission can no longer be finished. Here is how to remember where it last stood on reliable ground and put it back there.
Why this works
A good place to put a lost thing back is where it was last safe, not where it began or where it was last seen. Asking for steady ground over a stretch of time skips the edge it slid off and the spots that were already dangerous.
When not to use it
Do not use it when the object is meant to be lost for good or must start from its first place each time, such as a puzzle piece. Also skip it where the ground itself keeps changing under the object.
