Placing a block under your own feet while jumping, to build upward
Builders stack blocks under themselves to climb, and the moment the block appears the game must decide what happens to the body that is partly inside it. Wrong answers eject the player, trap them or drop them through. Here is the rule for when it is allowed and what the character does.
Why this works
Building upward works when placing and jumping share the same beat. Lifting the player only a little, and keeping upward speed while removing only downward speed, lets quick pillaring climb without a jump being cut off.
When not to use it
Wrong in games where height should be earned by exploring, since players can tower over every wall and skip your level. Limit the build height, or only allow placing on marked ground.
