My AI proposed five fixes and the third one only works after the first

Applying a list of fixes in the order it was written can make a later one fail for reasons that have nothing to do with it. This entry gives your AI an ordering step that respects what depends on what and says clearly when two fixes wait on each other.

Why this works

A fix list is written in the order ideas came, not the order the work can be done. Doing first whatever has nothing left to wait for, and otherwise keeping the written order, makes each failure point to one fix instead of to a pile.

When not to use it

Not worth it for two or three small fixes that touch different places and cannot disturb each other: just apply them one by one. And when two fixes wait on each other, ordering cannot help; merge them into one.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "My AI proposed five fixes and the third one only works after the first" (read_entry order-the-ai-fixes-that-depend-on-each-other) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
