Make a line name the whole party, with "you" for whoever is reading

A welcome line for a group should read naturally on each screen: your own name becomes "you", a big group does not run off the box, and a stranger watching sees only names. Here is the list rule and the edge cases around size and order.

Why this works

A shared line is read by many people, and each reads it as being about themselves. So the text must be made for each reader, with their own name turned into you, and a short form must never cut out the very person who is looking.

When not to use it

Skip it when the line is spoken aloud by a narrator to the whole room, or on a shared big screen, where everyone sees the same text. There you cannot say you to each person, so name everyone.
