Count a group's story vote when some players never voted or changed their mind

When a team votes on a story choice, the raw list of clicks lies. Some people vote twice, some never vote, and a tie is not the same as a win. This entry shows how to turn the clicks into a result you can trust, and how to report how many people took part.

Why this works

A vote is a statement by people, not by clicks. Each person gets one voice, so only their final choice counts, and silence is its own thing, not a hidden yes. Showing how many took part tells readers how far to trust the winner.

When not to use it

Skip it when the group should not decide by counting, for example when a host or a fixed leader owns the choice, or when every player must agree. Then a tally only pretends to be fair; ask for consent or let the host decide.
