Turning a character to face left by mirroring makes its left and right feet swap sounds

Mirroring one set of drawings or bones to face the other way is a good shortcut, and brings in quiet mistakes. The angles of the joints turn the wrong way, the held item ends up in the wrong hand, and the sound that belongs to the left foot plays for the right. Here is what to flip, and what must not be.

Why this works

Mirroring changes more than the picture: a turn that went one way now goes the other, and what was the left side is now on the right. Flipping the angles and swapping every name together keeps what the game says and what the player sees the same.

When not to use it

Wrong when the character is not symmetric, such as a one-armed hero, a banner on one shoulder or a weapon only on the right, since the mirrored picture changes the design. Draw the second direction separately instead.
