Fishing bites feel fake: every wait is about the same length
Picking a random wait between two numbers makes every cast feel like a timer, while real waiting has quick bites, long lulls and no memory. This shows what shape of waiting time feels natural and how to keep it from dragging on forever.
Why this works
Real waiting has no memory: every second carries the same small chance, however long you have already waited. That gives many quick bites and a few long lulls, and our eyes read exactly that mix as natural, while an even spread reads as a timer.
When not to use it
Avoid it when the wait is a skill test or part of a rhythm, where players need to learn and predict the timing. Random long lulls there feel unfair, so use a fixed or narrow wait instead.
